The ParkingAxon is part of AVUTEC's bundled package, CortexParking.
Besides a CortexDevice, the package includes an IO extender, the CortexParking windows client and the ParkingAxon.

The CortexDevice will have an internally stored white list for authorized vehicles in a MySql database.

The database holds another table containing all parking events, meaning all recognized license plates with according timestamp.

Relay pins on the IO extender are used to open and close  the barrier.

With this package all functionality to open a barrier based on white list confirmation is done inside of the CortexDevice.

No extra access control system is necessary. Only a CortexDevice and a electronically operable gate or garagedoor.

For more information about this package consult the CortexParking manual.

Functionality of the axon:

1.The ParkingAxon checks a recognized license plate with the embedded mysql database with authorized license plates.
When found the ParkingAxon will send a request message to the GatekeeperAxon to operate a GPIO pin to open a barrier or garage by using the relay board of the IO extender.

2.The ParkingAxon will stream images from the chosen sensor (IDS- or USB- or VideoSourceAxon) to CortexParking client for live view.

3.When a license plate is recognized the ParkingAxon will send a message called ParkingEvent (MESSAGE_PARKING_EVENT), containing an image and the recognized license plate to CortexParking client.
This information will be displayed in the clients main window.

4.The ParkingAxon will store a recognized license in the parking events table of the embedded database.

5.The ParkingAxon can recieve an 'open gate' message from the client. It will then send a request to the GatekeeperAxon to operate a GPIO pin to open a barrier or garage by using the relay board of the IO extender.

Description

CC_ParkingAxon

Enter the name of the image source for the live view in CortexParking client.
Mostly the name of the USBCameraAxon or VideoSourceAxon is used here.

GatekeeperAxon

Enter the name of the GatekeeperAxon in the cortex.
The GatekeeperAxon is operating the IO pins.

Choice to use GPIO pin 1 or 2 to operate a barrier or other electronically operable device

Master whitelist IP

In a scenario with multiple CortexDevices (master-slave),  'master whitelist ip' setting contains the IP adress of the master CortexDevice. The slave CortexDevices will access the master CortexDevice internal database to check the whitelist.
