Discover all installed CortexDevices in a local network |
Discovery is a functionality built into CortexFramework to find all CortexDevices present in a local network and displaying them in CortexClient. To connect this way simply plug the CortexDevice into the local router or switch. Make sure to use a PoE+ 802.3at switch. If connecting multiple CortexDevices be sure that the PoE budget is sufficient, to calculate this, multiply the amount of Cortexdevices by 25.5W. |
Using discovery |
Select a CortexDevice/hypervisor Click on the arrow next to the Discovery symbol, all registered devices will be displayed. To identify the Gatekeeper from the ‘Discovery’ list, compare its GUID against the devices found.
CortexDevice not in the discovery list Right click on local and click refresh if your device is not yet found. If the CortexDevice is not found in discovery you may be connected to the wrong network, make sure you are connected to the same switch.
