For reliable operation and safety, the camera must always be properly grounded during installation.
Grounding protects the camera against electrical surges, static discharge, and lightning strikes. It also prevents damage to internal electronics and ensures compliance with electrical safety standards.
Connect the grounding point on the camera housing to the site’s protective earth (PE) connection using a suitable conductor. Keep the connection as short and direct as possible.
Do not operate the camera without a functional ground connection.
Ensure that the ground connection is secure, corrosion-free, and in accordance with local electrical regulations.
When mounting on a metal pole or structure, verify that the structure itself is properly earthed.
