The following safety precautions must be observed during normal use, service and repair.
•Gatekeeper-X models must be installed and serviced by qualified and trained personnel.
•Do not drop the camera or subject it to physical shock.
•Make sure the power supply voltage is correct before connecting the cable to the camera. Please refer to the technical specifications for detailed information.
•Do not touch the filter if not necessary. It will inhibit the view of the sensors. Cleaning of fingerprints can be done wiping a clean cloth gently over the surface or using a glass cleaner.
•Small grains of sand or other small sharp particles can damage the filter and need to be rinsed off with water before using a cloth.
•When installed in an indoor venue cleaning the housing periodically ensures the coating to stay in optimal condition.
•The longevity of the coating will be shortened when installed in a hostile environment; exposed to seawind or chemicals at for instance carwashes.
•Sudden changes of power distribution can cause damage to the inner hardware.
•A Gatekeeper-X is equipped with an 850nm Infrared illuminator. The human eye will not or slightly see this light coming from the illuminator. Do not look into the lens directly from close range or for more than 100 seconds. Eyes can be damaged by not taking these precautions. During normal use of the Gatekeeper-X models while reading plates, there is no risk to the public.
•Never try to disassemble a Gatekeeper-X. If the product does not work properly, please contact your dealer. Avutec is not responsible for malfunctioning devices after unauthorized repair.
•When returned to a dealer for repair pack the Gatekeeper-X in it's original or an equivalent packing. Avutec can not be responsible for a Gatekeeper-X sent in improper packing.
•Unused cable glands need to be closed to ensure water tightness. Glands routing a cable need to be properly closed.
•If smoke, odor or noise rise from the device, turn off the power by unplugging the POE+ cable and contact a dealer.
