The Gatekeeper

GK-Gatekeeper

The Gatekeeper is a embedded visual sensor system dedicated to automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) and all functionality implemented in CortexFramework, the AVUTEC computer vision integration platform.

The Gatekeeper contains both an IR sensitive sensor and a context color camera for recognition in all circumstances. Sensor synchronised LED illumination is built in.

With its 2 to 25 meter viewing range and wide recognition angles, the Gatekeeper (click for the models) can be used in solutions ranging from  access control, toll collection, law enforcement, logistics to car wash vanues. Security can be automated and convenience can be offered to end users.

The integrated junction box guarantees easy installation with only one cable needed for both power and network connection through PoE+.

•GUID
Each Gatekeeper is given a GUID, a unique serial number, to identify the device. The GUID can be found on the box and in the junctionbox at the back of each Gatekeeper. The Guid is used in CortexClient, the client used for management, monitoring and configuration and during support. In CortexClient or other AVUTEC documentation a Gatekeeper is referred to as hypervisor.  .
