Setting minimal license plate width

Scroll Prev Top Next More

The recommended width of a license plate is between 100-300 pixels. Depending on the mounting position and the cropped region of interest, a license plate can be too small when it enters the scope of a sensor.
Setting the minimal width will prevent the ANPR engine to read license plates that are too small.

The minimal license plate width is set in the ANPRThresholdAxon.

The ANPR inspection tool displays the current width of the license plate.

The minimum width sets the value at which a recognition result is counted in reaching the threshold. License plates with a width smaller than the setting will not be counted as a hit and will not add up to the threshold.

The recommended width of a license plate is between 100-300 pixels, so here minimum width is set to 100 pixels.

The value could be lower, license plates will still be recognised, but recognition accuracy is not guaranteed.
