The FrameGrabberAxon is only used in a CortexServer in combination with an AVUTEC PCI express FrameGrabberCard.

The FrameGrabberCard captures images of analogue camera's and converts them to digital frames.
Besides that it features a hardware watchdog rebooting the system when necessary.

 

The addition of a FramegrabberAxon to a Cortex provides capabilities to process analogue images.

The FrameGrabberAxon is the interface to the FrameGrabberCard.

 

Position in a cortex
The FrameGrabberAxon is an input Xxon, meaning it can only output messages into the Cortex.

The FramegrabberAxon produces one image stream of all connected analogue camera's.

After FrameGrabberAxon a FilterAxon is placed. Each FilterAxon filters for images coming from one camera.
